## What is a loppis?

A "loppis" (short for loppmarknad) is a Swedish flea market — an informal sale where private individuals, associations or businesses sell used goods, vintage items, antiques and household objects. Loppisar are a strong cultural and sustainability tradition in Sweden; they range from one-weekend yard sales (gårdsloppis), trunk-of-the-car markets (bakluckeloppis) and association fundraisers to large recurring weekly markets in city parks.
